Ghadi Guest House: Using Simplicity to Create a Refinement in Commercial Interior Design

About this Project

The Ghadi Guest House project is about creating a sense of comfort in a room without weighing it down. To achieve this goal, we employed a complex system of composed and considered layers. The interiors of this project are characterized by warmth and a neutral palette that allows natural elements to come through.

The bedroom comprises an upholstered bed and an L-shaped seating arrangement that creates a space that is far from just sleeping. The color of the seating is accented by a mustard throw and ribbed seating. Wood details and furniture give the space a grounding contrast that is balanced by small lighting to give the atmosphere a relaxed evening ambiance.

The other side of the room is more subdued. We utilized two pieces of contemporary art above a small seating arrangement to create definition in that space too. This area is balanced by a round seating arrangement, bed lighting, and a table bedside to create a seating and circulation zone within the guest room.

Key Points of Interest

• The introductory neutral palette builds with natural wood tones
• Upholstered bed for a more restrained and comfortable character
• Ribbed seating, especially in a neutral palette, adds depth
• Texture and a neutral-breaker color palette
• Incorporates built-in wood details and shelf niches
• Ambient layered lighting
• Interesting geometry in contemporary art
• Defined seating and circulation pattern

The best feature of Ghadi Guest House is texture. Instead of focusing on elaborate designs, the designers bring in elements of ribbed fabric, wood finishes, woven floors, soft fabrics, and artwork. They create a space where everything complements one another to create texture, but nothing is overpowering.

The designers are able to create a guest room that has high hospitality standards, but also has a simple and relaxed feel. This shows how using high end materials can give that high end hospitality feel while subtly providing Luxury comforts.

If you are looking for high end design, comfort and detail for your guest house or commercial space, Design Kaksh can make your vision feel more like your own.
